Working with practical examples we will focus on:

Deciding on a theme for observations

Finding the right form of observation

Exploring the purpose and process of giving feedback

Observation feedback as a driver for professional development
The session will include opportunities for attendees to plan their own observation process
Pre course requirements
Attendees will be asked to bring areas/targets from their own school development plan that can be developed through lesson observations.
Learning Walks
Delegates will gain an overview of development of learning walks, related research, and the benefits.
Why use learning walks?
The focus of the session will include:

strategies used for learning walks

illustration of learning walk methods, including examples of our own practice

an opportunity to plan your own learning walk
Pre course requirements
Attendees will be asked to bring extracts of their development plan that they would like to develop through the use of learning walks.
